Homebridge Tado Control Switches

Homebridge plugin for controlling Tado thermostats.

Why do we need this plugin?

Tado provides everything we need in Apple HomeKit except for the manual switch we do not have direct access to in HomeKit. This plugin exposes exactly this as an extra switch to create automations for that.

For example:

Window open > Heater Off = Manual Control On

Window closed > Heating switched back to automatic = Manual control off

Installation

Follow the homebridge installation instructions at homebridge.

sudo npm install -g homebridge-tado-manual@latest

Options

Attributes	Required	Usage
name	Yes	Must be the same name from the Tado thermostat in the Tado App
username	Yes	Tado Login Username
password	Yes	Tado Login Password
polling	No	Get device state (Default: true)
interval	No	Interval (in s) for polling (Default: 3s)
homeID	No	ID from your Tado Home
zoneID	No	ID of the room where the thermostat is installed (eg living room)
