if a string is passed to the taylor procedure, it is parsed and converted to a single variable or a vector of variable names and exponents. each variable must be the first argument to the taylor function. the order of the arguments is not significant. when applied, this function always returns a one. if an i argument is passed, this function returns the number of elements in the resulting vector. this result is like the ncol function except it also returns the number of elements in the vector. the nrow function can be used instead. the taylor v function returns the taylor coefficient vector for v and the number of rows. the following examples are available:

the autolink function links columns of data together and writes a text file that can then be imported into any statistical package. the function generates a microsoft word file (.doc) that produces a table suitable for easy editing in an excel spreadsheet and citation in a text document. use the same command line to link a single column of data together.

the autolink function accepts the data file to be linked together. (for example, the data file should have a header section that contains the column titles.) the data file must be in an ascii text format that can be easily read and modified by a text editor. 84d34552a1
