When working on a project I found that I had need of using Rabbit MQ between a number of difference microservices. In order to get this functionality I introduced RabbitMQ to my project. What started out as a small function became this class and now it's free for anyone who wishes to use it.
- Installation via npm
npm install rabbit-mq-interface
- Feel free to fork this project and use it.
import { RabbitMqInterface } from 'rabbitmq-nodejs-interface';
const myConnection = new RabbitMqInterface(
`myQueue`,
`amqp://localhost`
queueProcessingFunction(),
);
myConnection.publish({ myTest: 'testing data' });
Every message is sent in a Buffer data type. This will allow us to turn it into an object
const decoded = myConnection.decode(message.content);
