    N|Solid Quickstart

    N|Solid preview

    This is a CLI tool intended to be executed using NPX. It can run a program using N|Solid automatically launching a Console to monitor it. The tool will download and cache the Runtime and Console. It uses the N|Solid bundle so it includes all supported LTS versions and the user can pick which one they wish to run.

    The basic syntax is:

    1. To execute a JavaScript file directly:
    $ npx nsolid-quickstart --exec index.js
    1. To execute an NPM task in a project:
    $ npx nsolid-quickstart --npm dev

    Commands

    • help: print the command help
    • clean: remove all cached assets

    Options

    • --log: print the Console log in the terminal
    • --demo: launch a demo application in the console
    • --file: use a local bundle in tar format, useful for RC releases
    • --license: pass an N|Solid license key directly to avoid the authentication at the Console
    • --lts: select the Node LTS version to run, it could be: boron, carbon, dubnium or erbium by default
    • --npm: specify the NPM task to execute an application to launch it
    • --exec: specify the JavaScript file to execute and launch an application
    • --remote: connect a local process to a remote console specifying the NSOLID_COMMAND value here
    • --saas: connect a local process to a console in the N|Solid SaaS infrastructure specifying the NSOLID_SAAS value here
