diet-sess

Session manager for diet application based on diet-cookies.

Install

npm install diet-sess

Usage

 
// Initialize Server
var server = require('diet') // Require Diet
var app = server()           // Create App
app.listen(8000)             // Configure Domain
 
// Cookies
app.header(require('diet-cookies'));
 
// Sessions
app.header(require('diet-sess')({secret: 'secret'}));
 
app.footer(function ($) {
    if ($.session && typeof $.session.save == 'function') {
        $.session.save();
    }
    return $.return();
});

Now you will have access to $.session object which you can update and it will be saved based on cookies. However, sessions are saved only until app reload, so you might want to connect redis storage to store sessions.

app.header(require('diet-sess')({secret: 'secret', redis: {host: 'localhost'}}));
