Bento Command Line Tool

The Bento CLI is a tool for developers that helps you with:

• Creating a new Bento game project
• Easy asset management
• Building your game (creating a package for web or Cocoon.io)

Installation

1. Install Node.js https://nodejs.org/
2. Open a terminal (search for Terminal on Mac, Command Prompt or cmd on Windows)
3. Type in npm install -g bento-game-engine
4. Done! Whenever you type bento in the terminal, it will invoke the CLI tool.

Usage

Type bento in the terminal to create a new game project. If you type bento in the terminal while inside the directory of your game project, you will get a list of options for all development tasks that exist in that folder.

Extending functionality

All tasks use Gulp. Check http://gulpjs.com/ for more info. You can either run gulp manually, or extend the prompt in scripts/prompt.js for use with bento.
