Simple tool to send and receive UDP text messages and files over the network built as a school homework.
Install the tool using npm install -g udptool
.
This is the output of udptool --help

Usage: udptool <command> <args...> [options...]
Commands:
listen <port> listen for datagrams on given Port
send <msg> <address> <port> send a string message to given IP and Port
sendfile <filepath> <address> <port> send a text file to given IP and Port
Options:
-h, --help output usage information
-V, --version output the version number
-s, --silent avoid informational messages
-r, --raw output raw text in datagrams without writing metadata
-ne, --no-errors avoid error messages
-o, --one exit after receiving one message

npm install
from the project directory to install dependencies -
npm run build
or./build.sh
from the project directory to build the executable.
