tap-emoji-diff

npm version

This is being updated, it is no longer just for my amusment but has found a higher calling in life. This project is undergoing a metamorphasis to be much more useful as a configureable tap test reporter for developers that have issues differentiating between standard colors like using green to signify success and red for failure.

A configuration setup should exist to set the colors for each part of the test output as well as the emoji for success and failure.

My own version 🍺 of diff b/c I am 🙄 special 🚌 and can't work 👍 w/out emoji's to keep me focused 👀.

  • This is forked from axross b/c I liked that reporter best

How to use

  • Works well on OSX, may break on other things.

You can use tap-diff in the same way as other TAP reporters.

npm install -g tap-emoji-diff
tape ./*.test.js | tap-emoji-diff

tap-emoji-diff uses chalk for adding color, which automatically detects color terminals. If you're piping the output and want to force color:

FORCE_COLOR=t tape ./*.test.js | tap-emoji-diff
