slush-basic

A Generator for simple frontend projects. Creates the following directory structure:

|- package.json
|- bower.json
|- gulpfile.js
|- app/
   |- index.html
   |- js/
   |- css/
   |- scss/
   	  |-index.scss (blank file)
   |- img/
|- dist

Includes self-explanatory hint, sass (using ruby-sass), and browserify (optional) tasks.

gulp

starts a livereload server instance

gulp build

outputs uglified js & minified css to dist folder. Other files are copied across as-is.

It's kind of clunky write now, but it's good enough for small pages (for me at least) and it doesn't include a lot of the cruft present in other published generators I could find.

Getting Started

Install slush-basic globally:

$ npm install -g slush-basic

Usage

Create a new folder for your project:

$ mkdir my-slush-basic

Run the generator from within the new folder:

$ cd my-slush-basic && slush basic

Getting To Know Slush

Slush is a tool that uses Gulp for project scaffolding.

Slush does not contain anything "out of the box", except the ability to locate installed slush generators and to run them with liftoff.
