simple-http

A simple client for interacting with remote HTTP interfaces

Motivation for this Project

The jQuery.ajax() interface for sending HTTP requests over the wire is really nice. Writing JavaScript modules for use in the client and the server is really nice. But, ajax in the client relies on the XMLHttpRequest object, which isn't implemented in node.js, and ajax in node.js relies on the ClientRequest Interface, which isn't implemented in the major browsers.

Happily, the browserify project provides client-side implementations of the node.js http and https modules. :) The goal of this project is to provide a jQuery.ajax()-esque interface to those modules.

API

For now, this project has no API; it does nothing. ( I'm focusing on getting a nice, test-driven development process for the project setup first. )

For a description of what the API will look like, refer to the jQuery.ajax() documentation here.
