Reorders function's first two arguments to make underscore or lodash more functional
Makes _ more functional.
Underscore and lodash are great libraries, but they have tiny defect: they put the data first and callback second. This arguments order makes it very difficult to compose functions. Scoreunder provides tiny utility function to fix this.
// underscore / lodashreturn a > 0;_every1 2 3 isPositive; // true
We cannot bind
_.every function even from the right,
_.every has signature
_.every(collection, [callback=identity], [thisArg])
Using scoreunder we can:
var under = require'scoreunder';return a > 0;var everyPositive = underpartialFn_every isPositive;everyPositive1 2 3; // true
npm install scoreunder --save
Creates new function with swapped first and second argument
_every1 2 3 isPositive; // truevar _every = underba_every;_everyisPositive 1 2 3; // true
Reorders arguments using
.ba then partial applies given function.
var everyPositive = underpartialFn_every isPositive;everyPositive1 2 3; // true
Plus I find that putting callback first leads to code that is more elegant.
