mongoose-locale-schema

mongoose schema to support multi-locale fields.

Note: All locales will added as single-embedded document(sub-schema)

Requirements

• NodeJS v8.11.1+
• npm v5.6.0+

Install

$ npm install --save mongoose-locale-schema

Usage

const { model, Schema } = require('@lykmapipo/mongoose-common');
const { localize } = require('mongoose-locale-schema');
 
// schema definition
const ProductSchema = new Schema({
    name: localize({ locales: ['en', 'sw'] }),
    description: localize({ locales: ['en', 'sw'] })
});
const Product = model('Product', ProductSchema);
 
// instantiate multiple locales
const product = new Product({
    name: { en: 'Tomato', sw: 'Nyanya' },
    description: { en: 'Best in Town', sw: 'Habari ya Mjini' }
});
 
// save with multiple locales
product.save((error, saved) => { ... });

Testing

• Clone this repository

• Install all development dependencies

$ npm install

• Then run test

$ npm test
