Reactive templating of data stored in a LevelDB.
Reactive templating for data stored in a LevelDB.
Given this data stored in a leveldb:
user = juliangrubermessages!1 = oh haimessages!2 = what's upmessages!3 = rad!
And this html template:
Write this code to bind those two together:
var levelup = require'levelup';var leveljs = require'leveljs';var db = levelup'my-db' db: leveljs ;require'./reactive'db;thisuser = user;thisel = domify'...the template...';reactivethisel user this;setIntervaldbput'user' MathrandomtoString16slice2;1000;var user = ;documentbodyappendChildviewel;
And the resulting DOM will be:
juliangruberoh haiwhat's uprad!
Update the template just by working with the database:
dbput'user' 'mbalho';dbput'messages!4' 'oh!';
First source the standalone reactive build from https://raw.github.com/component/reactive/master/reactive.js:
With npm do:
npm install level-reactive
Then, bundle for the browser using browserify.
