Polyfills I commonly use, will hopefully replace/deprecate once IE dies its inglorious death.

The polyfill itself is fine for IE 9+, but the tests are written in ES 2015.

NOTE: this is a polyfill, as such it freely modifies global objects and their prototypes. I have tried to remain as faithful as possible to the standard, but this is intended primarily for my own use and if it breaks other third-party code then it breaks it. It will not however, overwrite anything that isn't null or undefined, if in doubt include after other 3rd-party code.
