I'm basically running windows 10 the last few days to test out how dev is now with bash on windows etc.
It's really good but still lacks a few thing, namely a good support for npm.
Really good progress have been made from Microsoft and the community to drastically improve the Terminal experience with projects like:
- Scoop - Tiny package manager for windows
- concfg - Really handful cmdlet to import and customize Powerline theme / colors
- And pretty much all the awesome stuff @lukesampson have been writing.
I came up with an idea to try to develop a fish "emulator" in node, a bit like cash does.
It's basically a node repl trying to replicate the Fish shell sweet experience.
