https-or-http

https-or-http runs an HTTPS server or, if not possible, an HTTP server.

Quick start

First you need to add a reference to https-or-http to your application:

const httpsOrHttp = require('https-or-http');

Then use the httpsOrHttp function to run an HTTPS server. You need to provide an Express application, a directory that contains a certificate and a private key, and the ports to be used. If the HTTPS could not be started, e.g. because there is no certificate or no private key, an HTTP server is started as fallback.

Please note that the directory must contain a certificate.pem and a privateKey.pem file, otherwise an HTTP server will be started.

As a result you get an object that describes the servers that have been started:
