homebridge-c4-plugin

This plugin for homebridge allows you to control your control4 devices using Siri/Homekit on iOS. This plugin is very early state and right now only supports lights/dimmers.

This does two-way sync so any changes made using switches or control4 app will be reflected in Homekit in few seconds.

How To:

The documentation is not that easy to follow right now :(. Will improve it in future revs.

Known Issues:

  • Changing thermostat mode is not working

Sample Homebridge Config:

"accessories": [
  {
    "accessory": "c4",
    "name": "Stair Light",
    "device_type": "light",
    "proxy_id": "94",
    "variable_ids": {
      "level": "1001",
      "state": "1000"
    },
    "base_url": "http://192.168.1.142:9000",
    "refresh_interval": 2000
  },
  {
    "accessory": "c4",
    "name": "Bedroom",
    "device_type": "thermostat",
    "proxy_id": "36",
    "variable_ids": {
      "current_state": "1107",
      "target_state": "1104",
      "current_temperature": "1130",
      "heatpoint": "1132",
      "coolpoint": "1134",
      "unit": "1100"
    },
    "base_url": "http://192.168.1.142:9000",
    "refresh_interval": 2000
  }
]

Adding More Device types:

You need to add new device file similar to devices/light.js. For each variable the device supports, you need to the following:

  • Characteristic mapping from hap-nodejs
  • Value convertors from and to control4 values to homebridge values.

In your device config, add the variableID in config.json for homebridge.
