editx

Simple but powerful text and code editor for the console

Installation

Use npm to install the package globally: sudo npm install -g editx

Usage

editx <filename> will open the specified file for editing.

While in the editor the following shortcuts can be used

• ctrl + s To save the document
• ctrl + c To copy the current line
• ctrl + x To cut the current line
• ctrl + v To paste the line that was copied
• ctrl + q To to move the current line upwards
• ctrl + a To to move the current line downwards
• ctrl + e or ESC To exit.
