Convert Price

Convert prices from one currency to another.

Installation

Using npm:

$ npm install convert-price --save

Using yarn:

$ yarn add convert-price

Usage

// Load the module.
const convertPrice = require('convert-price')
 
// Convert 10 USD to EUR.
convertPrice(10, 'USD', 'EUR')
  .then(convertedValue => {
    //
  })
  .catch(err => {
    //
  })

Notes

When a conversion is successful the converted value is cached in memory for 10 hours, but if a conversion fails next calls with same arguments will also return an error for an hour.

To disable cache and enforce a fresh result set the fourth argument to true: convertPrice(10, 'USD', 'EUR', true).

Service

Conversion is done using Google Finance Converter.
